Who loves using Photoshop? Personally I do not. You spent hours at the computer just pressing the buttons… A different thing is the process of photography! Let’s see what we can do without PhotoShop?

1.Β With the help of a spray, you can capture water droplets in the shot.

2. And with the help of steam from the iron you can show that tea, coffee or even food are hot.

3. If you do not like the background – create your own! Plain colored paper will help you. The prepared background will save you hours of photoshopping.

4. The background can be diversified with foil. Crumpled foil in sunny weather will create a bokeh in the form of circles.

5.Β Bokeh can be made in the form not only of circles, but also for example of diamonds, hearts, stars and even snowflakes. To do it we need cardboard (preferably black), a stationery knife, scissors and insulating tape. We cut out circles in the diameter of our lens, and put a figure in the center and attach to the lens.

6. Try removing the lens partially and taking a few shots. With manual focus and a little practice and you will copy the Titl-Shift (or Lensbaby) effect. Warning: this design will not be comfortable (hold the lens and camera well, and keep it clean so that not a speck of dust gets in the middle).

7. Try to catch the reflection in the window, mirror or water, in such you can make magic without Photoshop.

8. Also you can use different filters (purchased or homemade). You can always draw something on such a filter.

9. Filters can be completely different colors.

10. And it is not necessary to cover the entire surface of the frame, but partially will be enough.

11.Β The main thing is to make sure that the focus stays where necessary. That is, if you shoot through a glass/goblet/vase, you need to focus on the “translucent” world through the glass, and not on the stamp “IKEA” or “Made In China” πŸ˜‰

12. Where there is light, there is shadow. If you do not like the existing shadow – create your own πŸ˜‰ For example, with cardboard and cut out figures (Unfortunately, I could not catch the bright sunlight to fully show the effect).

13. Recently, the RL-18-LED lamp has become popular. It nicely emphasizes the contours of the face, adds volume to the photo and makes the eyes more expressive. A similar effect can be accived at home, for example with a garland. I will share my results later.

14. Do not forget about visualization. Objects that are closer seem larger. So you can play with toys, for example. One of my favorite games lately is “Duck is watching you“.
